Course Aims
To provide candidates with training and assessment in industrial rigging and lifting techniques towards an internationally recognised qualification under UK SI 1998 Nr2307 (LOLER 1998). This course covers ground based workers and those working at height (including IRATA qualified rope access technicians)*.
Who should attend?
Those wishing to work as riggers, supervisors and tradesmen/technicians who encounter lifting and materials handling problems during their day to day work activities. The course content is designed to be highly practical in nature, with as much hands on experience as possible being included.
Content
Legislation, equipment use/abuse, examination, slinging/lifting, travelling loads, risk assessment, lifting and rigging planning, practical exercises and assessments.
