Load Testing & Certification
IRM can load test equipment, up to 300t, using water weights and hydraulic jacking kits. These systems can be bespoke to meet any of our clients requirements, including difficult access areas, where Rope access techniques are applied.
IRM owns and uses 35 ton water weight bags, that are used in conjunction with wireless load cells, to proof load offshore pedestal cranes, BOP Hoists and Gantry cranes.
IRM has internal water bags that are used to load test lifeboat davits, lifeboat hooks and winches. The proof load can be controlled via a calibrated flow meter or wireless load cell.
All testing we conduct is, as per, classification requirements. These tests can also be complemented with pre and post test NDT, which IRM Services has gained classification approval to perform.
