I have been trying to get work on or offshore, but i keep getn told that nothing is going on till march-april time is this right?

This depends SOLELY on what skills and tickets you have. There are technicians out there who are working flat out - have been for years (a huge percentage of them are our premium account holders).

The types at the lower end of the spectrum - and I mean this respectfully for all the new starters out there - tend to have slower starts to the year. The best way out of the cycle is to invest in yourself and learn as many skills, get as many tickets as you can and you'll find year on year it gets a lot easier.
