Specialist access company, AquaTerra Solution’s, are set to grow over the next year as the company announced a move from their Stoneywood office in Dyce to much larger premises in Kintore. With an investment of around £3 million, the company is moving to occupy facilities four times its previous size and is expected to increase its staffing number by more than 50%. AquaTerra’s new move comes as the company acknowledges significant growth since its inception in 2004.The new offices, at Midmill Industrial Estate, remain a short distance from Aberdeen’s airport and their previous facility in Dyce and clients of AquaTerra will benefit immediately from the move as Managing Director, Peter Robinson explains: “with new contract wins for offshore operations and unprecedented growth in demand for our training division, we’ve needed the extra space to service our clients effectively. Our training services division will now have 10,000 sq foot indoor and a further 20,000 sq foot outdoor for offering improved specially designed areas for simulating work-at-height, confined spaces, along with comprehensive rigging loft and lifting frames complimented with tailor made canteen and changing areas. All of which allows us to expand our range of accredited courses.”The 5,000 sq foot of office space will also house the company's growing operations team and further progress their work at height and specialist rope access related services including NDT/Inspection, maintenance, construction and decommissioning services. The space will allow AquaTerra’s operations team to recreate job specific trials using specialist equipment, tools and techniques to ensure that, when projects are finally carried out at the offshore environment, they are right first time.Peter Robinson said the prospects were excellent for continued growth and stated: “Our forward order book is extremely healthy, for both here in the UK and internationally, to the extent that we anticipate the need for increased staff through to 2012.”With respect to the environment, AquaTerra has also made a conscious effort to ensure their new offices have state of the art green energy saving credentials. The company plans on having an open day, within the next few months, to showcase the new facilities and capabilities. For further information on this please contact Katherine Milne on 0845 257 7570.Date: 20.12.2011Notes to EditorIssued by Katherine Milne.
